Sample Repair: Heriz Patch

Before

This antique heriz had previously been repaired, but it was not very well done. The poor quality of the repair is unsightly, and lowers the value of the rug to about $1,200.

After

We removed the patch, laid in new foundation, and re-weaved the patch area (about 1.5 feet square). As you can see, the result is stunning -- the repaired area looks natural. This repair also restores the strength to the rug, preventing further damage. The value of the rug after repairs is $6,500.
